Wasabi Wallet

Type: Software
Platform: MacOS, Linux, Windows

Wasabi Wallet is one of wallets that claims to promote and strengthen the anonymity for users when it comes to Bitcoins. It is one of the most privacy focused Bitcoin wallets on the market.

Wasabi Wallet is an open-source, non-custodial, privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet, that implements trustless coin shuffling with mathematically provable anonymity.

Wasabi Wallet uses a coinjoin mechanism to make Bitcoin transactions untraceable. CoinJoin is a mechanism by which multiple participants combine their coins (or UTXOs, to be more precise) into one large transaction with multiple inputs and multiple outputs.

An observer cannot determine which output belongs to which input, and neither can the participants themselves. This makes it difficult for outside parties to trace where a particular coin originated from and where it was sent to (as opposed to regular bitcoin transactions, where there is usually one sender and one receiver).

In very simple terms, coinjoin means: “when you want to make a transaction, find someone else who also wants to make a transaction and make a joint transaction together”. What's more to anonymity, all Wasabi network traffic goes via Tor network. However, there is no need to set up or to use Tor browser.

Blockstream Green

Type: Software
Platform: iOS, Android

Blockstream Green is rebranded from the GreenAddress Bitcoin mobile wallet, this all-new version promises to offer a more seamless UX and heightened security. Blockstream Green is our industry-leading Bitcoin wallet, providing Bitcoin users with an unrivaled blend of security and ease-of-use. Highly secure, yet rather simple to use.

Just like GreenAddress Bitcoin wallet, Blockstream Green wallet also uses 2-of-2 multisig by default. One of it’s most impressive features is that the Blockstream Green keeps one key on the device and the other on the company’s servers.

This means that if you lose your mobile device or it gets stolen, no one can get their hands on your funds. It also works seamlessly with hardware wallets: Trezor and  Ledger.
